New F1 22 trailer

One month before the highly anticipated release of F1 22, EA and Codemasters have unveiled a new trailer. This one provides a more detailed, but especially visual, look at the new features and improvements brought to the game.

The lifestyle in F1

Since its announcement, the Life mode in F1 has remained very enigmatic. Finally, we have some images of it. This game mode could be described as the player’s character’s life hub. Throughout the races and the challenge of the podium passes, the player accumulates in-game money that will allow them to customize their character. This customization includes the purchase of supercars (Ferrari, Mercedes, McLaren…), clothing, shoes, racing suits, and helmets. The customization options will not only apply to the player’s avatar but also to their living space. Similar to GTA or SIMS, it will be possible to customize their living space by changing the sofa, decorations, carpet, or walls.

Not to mention the changes in rumble strips made to circuits such as Imola or Austin, the Abu Dhabi, Barcelona, and Australia circuits have been remodeled following the alterations made to them in real life.

The physics of single-seaters have also changed between F1 2021 and F1 22 following the technical revolution that has occurred in the pinnacle of motorsport. While the cars experience more understeer in slow corners, it is in fast corners that they excel. The management of the tires has also changed. Now, the tires take more time to reach optimal temperature.

It is now possible to interact during the pit stop period. The player will no longer be a mere spectator, but through a timing game, they will be able to determine the speed of their pit stop. Additionally, a random factor has been added to these pit stops. Indeed, now some pit stops may be defective and take longer than expected.
