Mick Schumacher’s Monaco Grand Prix didn’t end as the driver would have wished, as he lost the rear of his car at the entry of the Swimming Pool chicane and crashed into the barriers. The impact was so intense that his car was split in two at the gearbox. Fortunately, the driver walked away unharmed from this accident. A spectacular crash for the spectators, devastating for Haas and their limited budget, and yet another setback for Mick.

On this subject, the German driver expressed himself: « the cars are slightly wider than last year – I made a slight misjudgment, as I said. Günther is not happy, it will cost us a lot and I am sorry. It is not ideal to throw millions in the trash. The season is still long – the wind can turn very quickly. I have already shown what I can do and I am sure I will show it again this year.”

The boss of the Günther Steiner team then spoke during an interview: “It is not very satisfying to have another big crash. We need to see how we move forward from here. You don’t have eternity in Formula 1, there is a long list of drivers waiting for their turn. I’m sure he is aware that no one is waiting for him. He works really hard and truly invests himself, but it’s very difficult. This system is not an easy business.”

Many rumors are currently circulating. The possibility of Sebastian Vettel joining Aston Martin is being discussed, and if the four-time world champion were to leave, the door would be open for Mick Schumacher. While waiting for confirmation, he needs to prove to his current team that he is worth it by continuing to progress as he has shown since the beginning of the season.
