Lewis Hamilton’s helmet for Monaco contains real Amethysts
For the Monaco Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton unveiled a very special helmet. This one was created in collaboration with an artist and contains real gemstones.

Like many other drivers, Lewis Hamilton presented a special helmet this Friday morning for the Monaco Grand Prix.
A helmet created in collaboration with American artist Daniel Arsham. While the dominant color is white, interspersed with purple hues in certain areas, its uniqueness lies not in its visual aspect but in its design. Because these purple hues are real gemstones, amethyst crystals.
Marking the #MonacoGP with a special helmet. 💜
Inspired by Lewis’ favourite crystal, amethyst, artist @DanielArsham has reimagined LH’s helmet as an archaeological relic. 🤩
A counterpart art sculpture will be sold with all proceeds benefitting Lewis’ foundation @mission44 💪 pic.twitter.com/2jdeWDAkY7

Monaco Helmet ‼️ a collaboration with @danielarsham – inspired by my favourite crystal, amethyst. We created a racing helmet & sculpture in his signature style — as if it were a relic in a museum 1,000 years from now. The sculpture will be sold benefiting @mission44 ✨ pic.twitter.com/e77ua5PM5X
