Vips and Alonso reprimanded after the first free practice session
After the first free practice session, Fernando Alonso and the young Jüri Vips were reprimanded by the FIA on Friday. They obstructed other drivers who were starting their fast lap.

During the first practice session of the Spanish Grand Prix, three unusual drivers, including a veteran, drove: Nyck de Vries, Robert Kubica, and Jüri Vips.
Vips, the Estonian at Red Bull, received a reprimand from the FIA at the end of the session. The current eighth in Formula 2 hindered George Russell in turn 12. Not necessarily a dream start for Vips in Formula 1, combined with the fact that he also finished the session in last place (even though he probably drove in race configuration).
Same penalty for Fernando Alonso. The Alpine driver also received a reprimand for impeding Lewis Hamilton, in the same turn 12 as Vips and Russell. This is his first reprimand of the season.
