Häkkinen believes that Red Bull has a faster car than Ferrari
Mika Häkkinen shared his thoughts on the duel between Red Bull and Ferrari, and the Finnish driver gives a slight advantage to the Austrians.

This start of the 2022 season sees, like last season, two camps clashing for the top of the standings. Red Bull is once again part of the battle. However, their opponent has switched from Germany to Italy: Charles Leclerc takes over from Lewis Hamilton to face a Max Verstappen who is better than ever.
Many personalities from the paddock have given their impressions on this duel between the two teams, and now it’s the turn of the 1998 and 1999 world champion, Mika Häkkinen, to share his thoughts.
After Miami, the “Flying Finn” believes that Red Bull has a car that is currently faster than Ferrari. « It was another important victory for Max, and when you consider that he has won every race he finished this season, we can say that Red Bull definitely has a faster package than Ferrari. »
For the Finnish, the Red Bull – Verstappen marriage was practically unbeatable in Miami. « Max’s race was solid. He had a good start to take second place from Carlos Sainz and his overtaking of Charles Leclerc in lap 9 was perfectly executed. The Red Bull had a straight line speed advantage over Ferrari, which meant that even when Charles had DRS, he still couldn’t catch up with Max. When we had the safety car period, Charles really pushed hard, but Max was able to defend and escape. He was completely in control. »
“Ferrari will now need major upgrades, according to Häkkinen, who also warns the Italian team in case Red Bull finds a solution to its main weakness. Ferrari has planned to introduce some improvements to their car, and Charles and Carlos will really need these developments to give them much more performance. Red Bull seems strong. Reliability seems to be the only weakness of Red Bull, but if they can achieve perfect reliability, Ferrari will have a tough time.”
