For Zak Brown, Lando Norris is ready to win
The executive director of McLaren, Zak Brown, recently praised his 22-year-old British driver, reflecting on some key moments from the previous season.

Arriving in 2019, right in the midst of a revolution at McLaren following several challenging seasons in Woking, Lando Norris immediately showed that he had the talent to become a very good driver. Voted rookie of the year in his first season, it was especially during the 2020 and 2021 seasons that the Bristol-born driver proved his skill behind the wheel to everyone’s eyes.
His boss Zak Brown doesn’t hide his love for his driver. « He is, in my opinion, just as good as the others in Formula 1. Incredibly fast. But there are many fast drivers in Formula 1. I think the part that impresses me the most about Lando is the few mistakes he makes. And his mistakes are small, a track limit, a locked wheel; you haven’t seen him put the car into the wall very often, go wide in a corner due to pressure, or make a mistake. »
Brown also talked about different episodes of the 2021 season. He could have won three consecutive races last year. In Monza, there was nothing between him and Daniel, in Russia, except for the late race call, he should have won that race. And in Spa, he was the fastest in qualifying with a certain margin until his accident. So, he could have won three times in a row. So he is ready to win for sure, we just need to put him in a position to win.
