Norris reveals to have never spoken to Räikkönen
McLaren driver Lando Norris revealed that he and the 2007 world champion Kimi Räikkönen have never spoken to each other.

Kimi Räikkönen left Formula 1 at the end of 2021. After a successful career spanning 19 seasons at the highest level of motorsport, the Finnish driver decided to hang up his helmet. From 2001 to 2009 and then from 2012 to 2021, the former Sauber, McLaren, Ferrari, Lotus, and Alfa Romeo driver claimed 21 victories, secured 18 pole positions, achieved 46 fastest laps in races, and most notably, was crowned world champion once in 2007 with Ferrari. He is, in fact, the last driver to date to bring the title to Maranello.
Beyond this magnificent record, the Finnish driver is also known for his discretion in the paddock and for his famous punchlines on the radio. Few drivers can boast of knowing Kimi Räikkönen well. In a live interview on YouTube, current McLaren driver Lando Norris even revealed that he has never spoken to the Finnish champion, who is 20 years his senior.
“I have never spoken to Kimi. In three years of Formula 1, I don’t think I’ve said a single word to him,” the British driver declared while admitting that he missed certain aspects of the native of Espoo. “I miss watching Kimi. I miss his interviews and all that side of things, but other than that, no.”
