Canal+ official broadcaster of F1 until 2029!
Canal+ and Formula 1 have officially announced that they have extended their contract until the end of the 2029 season.

Official broadcaster in France since 2013, Canal + continues its great story with Formula 1 by extending its contract with the premier category until the end of the 2029 season.
As a reference in the field, the encrypted channel is attracting more and more people, and the first two Grand Prix of this 2022 season are already among the top 5 highest Formula 1 audiences on Canal+ with around 1.31 million viewers for the opening race in Bahrain and 1.42 million in Saudi Arabia.
In three years, Canal+ has seen a 50% increase compared to its 2019 figures and on average brought together 1.14 million people during the Grand Prix last year. These figures obviously did not go unnoticed by the Formula 1 executives.
« We are delighted to announce the extension of our partnership with Canal+, who will continue to bring F1 to fans in France as we enter an exciting new era for the sport. The year-on-year increase we are seeing is a testament to the programming they offer to their audience, as they continue to seek new and innovative ways to engage with fans. » said Ian Holmes, Director of Media Rights and Content Creation at F1.
And this is a fair reward for the private channel team that is making every effort to offer the French audience an ever-expanding coverage of the supreme category of motor sports.
With an increasingly large panel of consultants (including Romain Grosjean joining the regulars Jacques Villeneuve, Franck Montagny, and Jean Alesi), innovations such as new formats and their arrival on Twitch, Canal+ is taking it even further by expanding its partnership to be able to offer its subscribers access to F1TV Pro for the first time through the MyCanal platform.
(A) We are proud and happy to continue broadcasting the Formula 1 Championship exclusively until 2029. We would like to sincerely thank F1, and especially Stefano Domenicali, for their renewed trust, allowing us to bring our viewers the excitement of the races.
Subscribers to an exciting show that continues to captivate fans and attract a wider audience.
