Horner quickly sees a fight with Mercedes and Ferrari
Although he appreciates the duel that his team is delivering to Ferrari at the beginning of the season, Red Bull Team Principal, Christian Horner, warns against a comeback from the eight-time world champion team.

The 2022 Formula 1 season kicked off with an intense duel between Ferrari and Red Bull. Both teams won the first two races while Mercedes finds itself far behind the leaders in both qualifying and the race.
Red Bull’s sports advisor, Helmut Marko, recently hinted that he preferred to fight against the Maranello team rather than the Brackley team. His colleague in the Austrian team’s board, Christian Horner, was more diplomatic.
Running against Ferrari is always a bit different. They have been in Formula 1 for a very long time and there may not be the same animosities that there could be with other rivals. It is a great team with good drivers, said the British leader to Sky Sports.
Although the battle for the title is currently focused between Ferrari and Red Bull, Horner is convinced that Mercedes will come back into the race. The German team is struggling to find the right setup for their W13 and is especially looking for a solution to get rid of porpoising. If this thorny problem is resolved, Mercedes will return to the forefront.
When Mercedes has solved its problems, they will be back and there will potentially be six drivers who will be in contention for victory every weekend. For the fans, it will be fantastic,” concluded the Red Bull boss.
In Bahrain, Mercedes had the third fastest car in the race and was able to climb onto the podium. For the second race of the season in Jeddah, although Hamilton had more difficulties than his teammate George Russell, it was also a Mercedes that finished the Grand Prix behind the Red Bulls and Ferraris. The other teams making up the pack seem to lag behind the German team.
