Stefano Domenicali: “The morality of F1 cannot be judged”
Following the terrorist attack that shook the world of Formula 1, Stefano Domenicali wanted to make things clear: "The morality of F1 cannot be judged". His position is clear, Formula 1 must change attitudes, for the well-being of everyone.

Does money take precedence over sports?
Regarding the question of whether Formula 1 makes decisions based on money rather than morality, Domenicali stated to Sky Sports:
« I don’t think it’s a good consideration. Honestly, no one can judge our morality. It is primarily about analyzing all the things that need to be considered. »
The Formula 1 president, Stefano Domenicali, does not mince his words after the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.
He insisted that the morality of sports cannot be judged despite the continuation of the race weekend in Jeddah.
As a reminder, the Yemeni rebel group, Houthis, claimed responsibility for the attack on Aramco’s distribution center on Friday night. A missile sent to this center triggered an explosion and heightened the tense atmosphere.
Following this event, drivers and team leaders gathered to discuss the organization of the race with Stefano Domenicali, Ross Brawn, the president of the FIA Mohammed Ben Sulayem, and Saudi authorities.
Formula 1 to change mindsets
Regarding human rights, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia does not have a glorious track record. Just a couple of weeks ago, 81 people were executed.
Stefano Domenicali believes that Formula 1 had to continue with its race weekend in order to change mentalities. To prove that this sport is a key element that works in favor of spectators worldwide.
« Where is the limit? That is the question. Our position, and it will always be so, is that we believe that what we are doing will have a very positive impact on all political decisions, for a better life at all levels.
And to conclude the interview:
“It will always be the stance we take for our future in sports, everywhere in the world.”
