Saudi Arabia – Lewis Hamilton « I can’t wait to go home »
It was a disillusioned Lewis Hamilton who appeared on the mic with Laurent Dupin after an extremely disappointing qualifying session.

Despite a decent first race in Bahrain that ended with a podium and a 4th position, the silver arrows seem much less comfortable on the urban track in Jeddah.
Indeed, in FP3, Lewis Hamilton was only in 11th position, a testament to the poor form of the British driver and his team in Saudi Arabia.
While we were still expecting to see the Mercedes easily make it to Q2, despite three attempts with the soft tyres, Lewis Hamilton never managed to escape the elimination zone.
A performance all the more shocking when you know that his garage neighbor, George Russell, managed to achieve the 4th best time in Q1.
The Briton reflected on his Saturday: “I had absolutely no rear grip, which made navigating the turns extremely challenging. I can’t wait to go back home.”
A disappointing sports performance that adds to a social context that is not conducive to racing according to Lewis Hamilton. Indeed, the British driver was most likely among the drivers against holding this Saudi Arabian Grand Prix after the bombing of an oil site less than 30km from the circuit.
On an urban circuit where overtaking is very difficult, entering the corners will undoubtedly be a particularly challenging task for the Mercedes driver tomorrow.
