Saudi Arabian Grand Prix – Qualifying: Reactions from the top 3!
After the qualifying of the Saudi Arabia Grand Prix, the top three (Sergio Perez, Charles Leclerc, and Carlos Sainz) shared their impressions.

Sergio Perez, first pole position.
It took me quite a lot of laps to achieve this first pole position. What an incredible lap! I could do 1000 laps and I wouldn’t beat this one, it was amazing. We didn’t really expect to beat the Ferraris in qualifying, we were mainly focused on the race, so I hope we will beat them tomorrow!
Charles Leclerc, second on the grid.
The lap was good, I’m really happy with my lap. This qualifying was mostly about not making mistakes and not going off the track. On the second lap of Q3, I gave it my all and managed to put everything together quite well, but I wasn’t expecting Checo (Perez) to set such a time. Congratulations to him, he had an incredible drive today. Tomorrow is another day and I hope we have a good start!
Carlos Sainz, third on the grid.
« My Q3 lap was good, I was on worn tires because I don’t know why but worn tires give me a better feeling this weekend. The new tires are very difficult for me to handle and on the last Q3 lap, I had no grip at the rear. The time, considering worn tires, was not bad but in the end Charles and Sergio beat me by a small margin. Tomorrow will be exciting with the four cars mixed between Ferrari and Red Bull, so we will play with each other with strategy. It will surely be an exciting race!
