The big winners of the new regulations are undoubtedly them! After hitting rock bottom in 2020 and undergoing a reconstruction last year, Scuderia Ferrari made a triumphant comeback this Sunday in Sakhir for the opening of the 2022 Formula 1 championship.

A hat trick signed by Leclerc, coupled with Carlos Sainz’s strong second place, secures a one-two finish for the Italian brand, and that’s got all the tifosi in a frenzy throughout the boot! The Monegasque driver wanted to thank the entire team for all the work put in after the race.

” The last two seasons have been very challenging for the team and they have done an amazing job building the best car, and today we achieved a double win, so we couldn’t have done better! It’s incredible to be back at the top level!” Leclerc declared.

Pilot number 16 treated us to a display of skill throughout this Grand Prix, where his tight yet clean battle with Max Verstappen in the middle of the race was the highlight.

« I tried to be as smart as possible in the fight with Verstappen. I used the DRS and regained my position on Max, and then it went well. I had a good restart at the end of the Safety car and managed to maintain my lead!

With the double retirement of Red Bull, Ferrari takes advantage of this mishap to take the lead in both world championships. Next race is this Sunday in Saudi Arabia, where the Italian team and their leader will have to confirm all the hopes placed in them at the beginning of the season.
