What are the registration fees for teams in 2022?
The registration fees for the 2022 Formula 1 World Championship have been announced. Just like in 2021, Mercedes will make the largest contribution, with $4.8 million to be paid.
The 2022 registration fee rates have been unveiled in the latest edition of the sports regulations.
These registration fees, which teams have been required to pay since 2013, are used to increase the revenues of the governing body of F1. Each team must pay these fees in order to participate in the championship.
The registration fees are also subject to a 1.4% increase due to inflation compared to the previous season.
The calculation method is as follows:
- A fixed share of $577,278 for all teams
- A variable share based on the number of points scored. Each point is worth $6,926 for the Mercedes world champions and $5,770 for other teams.
