Hamilton: “Now, I am back!”
After almost two months of complete silence, Lewis Hamilton has resurfaced on social media.

Finally!
It was necessary to go back to mid-December 2021 to find the latest public traces of Lewis Hamilton. The last tweet from the seven-time world champion dated back to December 11th, the day before the controversial Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Since the podium of this race, which saw Max Verstappen become world champion, Hamilton had not shown any signs of life, except for the knighthood ceremony by Prince Charles a few days later at Windsor Castle.
This deafening silence has fueled all sorts of fantasies. Some even suggest a surprising retirement of the English champion, so disillusioned by a sport in which referees would have stolen his eighth title. However, this doesn’t seem to be the case if we believe the driver himself, who, via a tweet published last weekend, asserts that he is indeed back: « I was gone. Now, I am back! ».
It remains to be seen what the next steps will be for the British driver’s communication. Will he speak during the presentation of the new Mercedes to explain his point of view on the events in Yas Marina? Or will he wait for the conclusions of the FIA’s internal investigation to do so? There is great anticipation to know what Hamilton thinks about the 2021 championship finale, but regardless, this tweet is excellent news for all F1 fans who dream of seeing the second season of the Lewis VS Max thriller in 2022.
