The new Alfa Romeo F1 will be revealed after the Barcelona tests
The Alfa Romeo team has announced the presentation date of its Formula 1 car that will take part in this year's World Championship. They also took the opportunity to reveal its name.
Alfa Romeo has become the seventh team to announce the unveiling date of its new F1 car. The presentation schedule differs from other teams, as the Italo-Swiss race car will be revealed on February 27th, after the first pre-season testing in Barcelona.
Two winter testing sessions will take place this year. The first will be held in Barcelona from February 23rd to 25th and is called the Pre-season Session. The second, titled Official Pre-season Test, will take place at the Bahrain circuit from March 10th to 12th. It is between these two testing sessions that the new Alfa Romeo C42 will be unveiled to the public with its livery for 2022.
It will be an online event during which a press conference will be held. The announced speakers are the team principal Frédéric Vasseur, the technical director Jan Monchaux, as well as the three drivers from the team, Valterri Bottas, Guanyu Zhou, and Robert Kubica. These three will therefore have already had the opportunity to test their new car a few days earlier, with a temporary livery.
