Formula 1 has gained a lot of fans around the world through “Drive to Survive”. The Netflix series follows the F1 seasons since 2019.

Season 4, scheduled for next March, will recount the events of the 2021 season. When we talk about 2021, controversies immediately come to mind, and when we think of controversies, we immediately think of the Abu Dhabi finale between Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton.

The latter has remained silent as a mute since his defeat last December. Max Verstappen, on the other hand, has expressed his horror at the overrated and exaggerated scripting, according to his words.

« They [Netflix] create rivalries that do not actually exist in Formula 1. That is why I have refused to do any interviews with them. I refuse to stage myself just for the show, so they won’t be able to use anything. I prefer truth and facts. »

Considering the controversial outcome, many have wondered about an artificial manipulation of the race’s progression, undoubtedly to fulfill Netflix’s desire for spectacle and drama.

Max Verstappen will not say a word about it nor will he feature in it. And in this spirit, many hope that the races will not be conditioned solely by the spectacle factor.

In which case, Max Verstappen’s choice could be shared by others in the future.
