Aston Martin without BWT this season?

While the British manufacturer has just parted ways with its team principal, Omar Szafnauer, on Monday, January 5th, the Aston Martin team's website introduced its partners...one of which is missing!

Peroni, JCB, Epos, TikTok… the 2022 season is fast approaching and Aston Martin F1’s partners are all there… or almost all.

Because it is worth noting the noticeable absence of the water treatment giant, BWT, with its typical pink colors that adorned the Force India/Racing Point. The pink was present to a lesser extent around Sebastian Vettel and Lance Stroll’s green cars.

BWT had expressed the desire to return to a pink livery for the legendary British constructor last season. However, this did not happen, as evidenced by the preservation of the “British Green,” which is so dear to Aston Martin.

Szafnauer leaving would mean that BWT is setting sail, making room for Juniper Networks, a telecom equipment giant.

This would certainly not call into question the presence of BWT in Formula 1: the company sponsored the Austrian Grand Prix last year, and remains a partner of the premier category.

This could then lead, in the event of an official announcement, to a change in livery for the Aston Martin team.
