The FIA decides to dissect the decisions made during the last laps of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, which saw Max Verstappen emerge victorious.

After causing controversy, and even still today, the FIA decides to delve further into the events that took place during the final laps of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. In a statement, the FIA explains that they will carry out “a detailed analysis and a clarity exercise for the future involving all parties involved.”
This proposal, submitted by the President of the FIA to the World Motor Sport Council, aims to clarify the situation regarding the decisions made after the safety car period following Nicholas Latifi’s accident.
An exercise that can help improve the regulations and better define them before the arrival of the 2022 F1 season. This proposal from the president of the FIA was unanimously accepted and is therefore expected to be implemented in the coming months.
