Hamilton and Mercedes excited about the end of the season
At a race towards the end of the season, Lewis Hamilton expressed himself on this crazy end of the season for Mercedes and in particular on this very tight battle for the title.

The Saudi Arabian Grand Prix has just ended and all eyes are now turning to the final of this season, the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. A decisive race for Hamilton who is on a streak of three consecutive victories. But above all, the Briton spoke out about the condition of his team as they approach the last race of the season.
« The fight is so big. I’ve been with this team for 10 years. I’ve seen the passion all these years. I don’t think I’ve seen what they were showing me just over there, coming down the pit lane at the end of the race [after his victory at the Saudi Arabian GP]. It’s on a different level, the energy. We are all excited. The fight is so spectacular, and I appreciate it,” explains Lewis Hamilton.
Nevertheless, the British driver also spoke about the difficulty of this championship. A title race with Max Verstappen that pits two very different driving styles against each other.
« It’s just tough out there. It’s hard to battle with a driver who doesn’t work with the same rulebook. But I tried, with everything I had, to keep the car on track and do it properly. Anyway, we persevered as a team, and I’m grateful for everyone’s hard work.
« I generally feel good. So I will try to keep my head down for the next one and try to get the best possible result,” Hamilton concluded.
The two title contenders arrive in Abu Dhabi with the same number of points and therefore have only one final race to determine the winner of the season.
