Norris expresses himself on the sinister aspect of social networks
Lando Norris is a very popular F1 driver since he entered the sport in 2019. The young Englishman has managed to build a strong fan base especially through social media. But it's not always for the best.

Formula 1 recently conducted a survey to find out who the most popular driver on the grid was, and Max Verstappen came out on top. However, British driver Lando Norris is right behind, in second place in the rankings. He has a very loyal and dedicated fan base, sometimes even overly invested.
« I think the only bad thing is just the personal life with friends, people who, without it being their fault, are sometimes put in the spotlight because they are seen with me, or because I follow them on social media or something like that », explains Lando Norris to ESPN.
Fans ready to do anything to know about the life of their favorite star, whether it is their public or private life. Some do not hesitate to take photos of Norris without his knowledge when he is with friends.
« I think that has been the worst side of the situation – someone who is just calm and seen with me at dinner or on an Instagram post. There are still a lot of mean fans, a lot of fans who are just not nice and who just use a lot of people and things like that, Norris confides.
A private life that has become difficult to maintain for a driver as popular as Norris. Especially since some “fans” even go as far as to research and try to uncover private information about the F1 driver’s friends.
« I would say that the worst thing about popularity is this kind of people. People who do not respect your personal life at all and the people you hang out with, etc. This is definitely the worst of all.
Honestly, it’s very scary what some people are doing. The time they spend trying to investigate things or people or whatever. », Norris concluded.
