Carlos Sainz is the driver of the day in Turkey
The Spanish driver received for the first time in his F1 career, the title of driver of the day. The Ferrari driver had an attacking race to get into the points zone after starting from the back of the grid.

Carlos Sainz made a real comeback this Sunday in Turkey. Starting from 19th place after changing his engine at the start of the weekend, the Ferrari driver made several overtakes to finish in 8th position.
From the first laps of the race, the Spanish driver went on the attack to outperform the other drivers. For the first time in his career, Charles Leclerc’s teammate received the title of Driver of the Day. He is the 20th driver to receive this honorary reward since 2016.
Interviewed live on the radio as he was returning to the pit lane, the Spanish driver seemed surprised: “Ah really? Is it, I believe, the first time. Thank you very much!”
