Following the bad weather, race 1 this morning has been postponed to this afternoon. This changes the whole program. Indeed, race 2 is canceled. F2 (and F3) will only have 2 races this weekend.

Dan Ticktum easily won this race 1, taking advantage of his pole position following the inverted grid from yesterday’s qualifying session! He therefore secures his second victory of the season after Monaco.

The race was marked from the formation lap, Guanyu Zhou went into a spin and had to retire. A few seconds later, it was his teammate from Uni Virtuosi who followed suit by hitting the wall quite violently, which also led to his retirement. End of the day before the start of the race for Uni Virtuosi.

On a drying track, the race was started behind the Safety Car and then a rolling start.

Liam Lawson, a driver for Hitech GP, hit the back of his single-seater against the wall and had to retire.

This benefits Théo Pourchaire who started eighth, he will make a good comeback to fifth place and he also secures the fastest lap and the two points that come with it!

Dan Ticktum wins this first race of the weekend ahead of Juri Vips and the local competitor, Russian driver Robert Shwartzman.

See you tomorrow morning at 10:20 for the main race with Oscar Piastri starting in pole position!
