Valtteri Bottas will participate in the Race of Champions
The Finnish driver will take part for the very first time in the Race of Champions next February in Sweden.
The current Mercedes driver will join many of his Scandinavian counterparts next February to participate in the Race of Champions. The Finn will be alongside Petter and Oliver Solberg, Tom Kristensen, Johan Kristoffersson, and Mattias Ekström for his first participation in the event.
After attending the race as a spectator, the future Alfa Romeo driver will be tempted by this new challenge.
« I am really looking forward to finally being able to participate in the Race of Champions after watching the event on TV for many years, », he declared.
The Finnish driver also admitted that the fact that this year the race takes place on snow and ice, the temptation was stronger and he hopes to use all the experience gained in other races to try to win.
« The fact that this year’s event is taking place on snow and ice makes it even more interesting. I have participated in the Arctic Rally a few times and I hope that this experience will help me as we try to overcome the tough competition, especially our Nordic neighbors from Sweden and Norway, to contribute to Finland’s many victories – both in the individual Race of Champions and in the Nations Cup. »
