Pierre Gasly will start from the pits
The Frenchman will be forced to start the Italian Grand Prix after his team broke the Parc Fermé rules to change several parts on his AlphaTauri.

One year after his first victory in Monza, the 2021 edition does not smile as much on the young Normandy driver. Making a mistake during the sprint qualifications after breaking his rear wing following a contact with Daniel Ricciardo, Gasly was already doomed to start from the back.
After this incident, AlphaTauri decided to install new elements on its car. Gasly will have a new engine (4th of the season out of 3 allowed), a new gearbox, a new turbocharger (4th), a new MGU-H (4th), a new MGU-K (4th), new batteries (3rd) as well as a new electronic management system (3rd).
With all these changes, AlphaTauri has violated the Parc Fermé rule and exceeded the quota of allowed components in a single season, which will therefore force Pierre Gasly to start from the pit lane.
