Leclerc hopes to use the sprint race to Ferrari’s advantage
Two years after his victory in 2019 at Monza, Charles Leclerc is counting on the return of the sprint race to help Ferrari shine. In front of the tifosi, he hopes to achieve a good result this weekend.

Formula 1 is meeting us at the temple of speed, in Monza. This year, the tifosi, in limited numbers, will be able to attend this Italian Grand Prix throughout the weekend. In front of the Scuderia Ferrari fans, Charles Leclerc plans to give it his all to achieve a good performance.
With a better car compared to last year, Leclerc will seek to achieve a good result at the end of this GP. Two years ago, he had secured his second victory of his F1 career in front of a huge crowd. While another victory seems to be a miracle this year as well, he expects to see some opportunities.
« It’s always very special to race in Monza for Ferrari in general, but also for me. I will always remember two years ago. It was absolutely crazy. But I think this year will be a little more difficult. Of course, we have made some progress since last year, so it should be a better race.
Does it get ANY better than winning for @ScuderiaFerrari at Monza?!

After a first attempt at Silverstone, the sprint race makes its return to Monza. Although Ferrari will have a hard time on its own track, the Italian team could surprise during this 100 km/h race by scoring some points in the championship. Provided that the two drivers achieve good qualifications the day before. The Monegasque could thus secure a third pole position of the season for Sunday’s race.
On paper, it’s a difficult track for us, but it’s also a weekend where we have sprint qualifications. I hope we can take advantage of it and have a good weekend anyway.
Leclerc commented on the Dutch Grand Prix. With his fine fifth place behind Pierre Gasly, the Monegasque is happy with his performance, as well as that of his team. He also highlights the grand atmosphere during the race and hopes to see the same thing with the color of Ferrari.
« I am quite satisfied with our overall performance. Finishing with both cars in the points is a good result. The atmosphere was amazing, and it was really great to see so many people applauding in the stands. I look forward to seeing the same thing, just in red, at Monza.
In Zandvoort, Ferrari regained its third place in the constructor’s standings ahead of McLaren. Leclerc finished 5th, while Sainz came in 7th. In front of their home crowd, the Italian team will try to confirm their position.
