George Russell elected « driver of the weekend » by the editorial staff
In the absence of any driver being appointed as driver of the day by the F1 community, Motors Inside decided to reward George Russell for his fantastic weekend at Spa.

This Sunday, none of the 20 competitors were elected driver of the day, as is the case every race weekend, due to only 4 short laps being completed behind the Safety Car.
In order to still reward a driver for his weekend in Belgium, the Motors Inside editorial team named George Russell as the driver of the weekend. Throughout the various sessions, the Briton has always been well placed and has gradually increased his pace. The Williams driver even reached the top of the standings in qualifying, where he made it to Q3 for the 3rd time this season, before posting the second fastest time, behind Max Verstappen.
In wet conditions, Russell could have taken advantage of his front-row starting position to have a good race, without being hindered by water spray from the cars in front of him. Unfortunately, the weather conditions did not allow the race to take place, and we were not able to see the British driver fight at the front of the race. However, thanks to the decisions of the FIA and Michael Masi, car #63 was able to secure his first podium in F1.
Another driver caught the attention of the editorial team, no one else but Lando Norris, who was impressive in the first two days, particularly in qualifying where he set the fastest time in Q1 and Q2. The McLaren driver could have achieved a very good result if it weren’t for his off-track excursion at the start of Q3.
