Dutch Grand Prix – Ocon back in the points
After his victory in Hungary and his 7th place in Belgium, Esteban Ocon continues to score points today in Zandvoort.

Qualified 8th, one position ahead of his teammate, Esteban Ocon said he was satisfied to have managed to maximize the potential of the car even though the two Alpines were beaten by Antonio Giovinazzi’s Alfa Romeo.
Laurent Rossi, the president of Alpine must have been very scared at the start when his two drivers touched in the 1st and 2nd corners. A very hot start to the race for Ocon and Alonso which continued at the 3rd corner with a magnificent overtaking move by the Madrilenian on his teammate.
Despite an undercut attempt on Alonso on the 33rd lap, Ocon remains behind in 10th position.
Facing the energetic Red Bull of Sergio Perez, Esteban Ocon can’t do anything and falls to 9th position. It’s his fourth consecutive points finish but that doesn’t allow him to stay in the Top 10 of the driver’s championship.
Fernando Alonso managed his tires a lot at the beginning and as a result, we lost a lot of ground to the Ferraris. Fortunately, he overtook one of them at the end. We need to rethink what we could have done better. It was intense throughout the race between us, there was even a slight touch at the start. We fought well and in the end both cars are in the points.
