The British team that will compete in Extreme E next year announced that they have chosen the four-time rallycross champion, Tanner Foust, as their driver.

The American will join the Extreme E championship in the ranks of McLaren, which will participate in its first season next year. The quadruple rallycross champion will team up with a woman, as the regulations require, but her identity has not yet been revealed.

McLaren CEO Zak Brown is delighted at Tanner’s arrival at McLaren and believes it will allow the discipline to reach new fans: “We are thrilled that Tanner has joined the McLaren Racing driver family. He is a top-level off-road competitor with a wealth of experience and a winning record,” said Zak Brown.
« Alongside his driving prowess, he is a fantastic personality, who will help us connect with new fans from around the world and highlight the important goals and messages of Extreme E,” he continued. “We are excited to announce Tanner’s teammate who will be the first female McLaren driver, to complete our exciting duo.
