Jost Capito stated that George Russell’s 11th place was considered a disappointment by the whole Williams team. This reaction pleased the CEO of the British team and proves that the Grove-based team has made very significant progress recently.

After finishing in 12th place in France, which was celebrated as a victory by Williams, Russell’s 11th place in Austria, on the other hand, was experienced as a disappointment. Capito admitted that his team no longer wanted to settle for results that did not bring any points.

« I am very disappointed and I am very happy that everyone is disappointed because four weeks ago, everyone would have triumphed for the 11th place,” says Jost Capito.

« The 12th place in France was fantastic and now being disappointed with the 11th shows the team’s fire and enthusiasm that the team has now and that they want more, they are not satisfied with a result that does not bring any points.

Now we are even disappointed with these results and I think that it shows the path we are taking with the team.

The British driver’s good momentum could continue this weekend at Silverstone, if the weather conditions are favorable to Williams.

It depends a lot on the weather conditions. I think everyone now knows that our car is very difficult in windy conditions and Silverstone is known to be very windy!

« I think that if there is a lot of wind, we could have trouble, if there is not much wind, we might be lucky to be somewhere near where we were here (in Austria).
