A few weeks ago, the organizers of the Goodwood Speed Festival had announced the presence of five F1 teams. This Monday, a sixth team announced its participation in this event which takes place from 8 to 11 July.

In a statement, Aston Martin announced that Lance Stroll will drive the AMR 21 this Saturday. The English brand specified that the demonstration by the Canadian driver will take place at 10:45 am and that their single-seater will be the only F1 car participating in the 2021 championship at Goodwood.

The brand added that an Aston Martin moment will take place throughout the weekend to celebrate their grand return to the top category of motorsport. This celebration will be marked by the hill climb of their brand new hypercar, the Valkyrie (driven by Lance Stroll). Also present will be the Aston Martin Official Vantage Safety Car, the DBX Official Medical Car, the Vantage F1, and exceptional models such as the DBR1 and the LM7.

James Bond’s favorite car brand will take advantage of the event to showcase one of the 88 V12 Speedster models, the DB11, the DBS Volante, and their SUV, the DBX, which will be driven by Matt Becker, Aston Martin’s chief engineer.

The English brand added that the CEO of Aston Martin, Tobias Moers, the Executive Vice President and Chief Creative Officer, Marek Reichman and triple Le Mans winner Darren Turner will all make appearances this weekend.

The Goodwood Festival of Speed takes place from Thursday 8 to Sunday 11 July 2021 and will be broadcast on ITV and Sky during the weekend.
