Changes at the head of Aston Martin F1
The British manufacturer's team hires the services of Luca Furbatto. The former chief designer of Alfa Romeo will join the ranks of Silverstone as engineering director from 2022.

Luca Furbatto is a character who has gone through the years in F1. Before Aston Martin, the Italian spent ten years of his career at McLaren starting in 2001. He then worked for Toro Rosso and Manor, before making his mark at Sauber in 2017.
Andy Green, who has now moved on to become the technical director, is delighted with the arrival of Forbatto in Lawrence Stroll’s team: (e) The arrival of Luca Forbatto is that of an engineer with exceptional talent in our technical team. He brings with him over two decades of experience in the sport, having worked with several top teams. This is a significant step towards leading Aston Martin to the top.

Luca Forbatto will arrive just in time in 2022. It will be the year of the great technical revolution of Formula 1, which could reshuffle the cards.
