The Haas drivers settled their misunderstanding after the Azerbaijan Grand Prix
Guënther Steiner ensured that the drivers discussed the incident and moved on, after Nikita Mazepin's dangerous maneuver in the final moments of the race.

It’s a scene that (almost) went unnoticed. In the final few meters of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, Mick Schumacher and Nikita Mazepin almost collided.
While Mick Schumacher stayed ahead of Mazepin throughout the race, the Russian took advantage of a poor restart by the son of the seven-time world champion to pass his teammate. In the final straight, #47 took the slipstream of the second Haas to try to regain what was rightfully his.
The German manages to catch up with Mazepin, but the latter shifts to the right side of the track, where Schumi Jr. is. Realizing his mistake, the young Russian immediately changes trajectory and makes way for his teammate who manages to overtake him.
This situation angered the young German driver who immediately expressed himself on the radio, in an annoyed tone. “What was that mess, honestly? Seriously, does he want to kill us?” before calming down in front of the media, stating that he would review the scene later.
Mazepin explained that his batteries were low, which caused a speed deficit, allowing his teammate to overtake him.
Nevertheless, the two drivers discussed this dangerous maneuver, and Günther Steiner assures that the two men have explained themselves and moved on.
“Something happened in the straight line, everything was resolved and we clarified things. There was a misunderstanding, but everything is fine and we have all moved on,” he said.
