Alpine A521 takes its first lap around the track
The Alpine A521 took to the track for the first time on Wednesday with a shakedown at Silverstone.

Spotlights on the track! After the presentation using a 3D model, the Alpine-Renault A521 hit the tarmac for real this Wednesday, March 3. The program included 100 kilometers of driving with Esteban Ocon behind the wheel, using demonstration tires.
She’s even more beautifully real life.

« The car was pleasant from the outset ».
The opportunity to see the new French single-seater in daylight! And even under the clouds of Silverstone, the result is very impressive with the dominant royal blue.
Esteban Ocon certainly had fun: it was really fun, rejoiced the French driver.
« The car was pleasant from the start and we were able to successfully complete our program as planned. I would have liked to be able to drive more than a hundred kilometers, but that’s the limit and I’m leaving with a smile on my face.
« We want to reproduce this next week in Bahrain under more representative conditions with racing tires and a little more heat. »
In line with his initial comments at the time of the presentation, the Frenchman supports the design of his new car.
« I must say that I love the new colors. It’s the most beautiful car on the grid! » exclaimed Ocon, who also unveiled his new helmet, very different from 2020, with more blue… of course!

Esteban Ocon is currently the only driver for Alpine F1. Remaining in Switzerland, Fernando Alonso was not present at Silverstone. But we also know the design of the double world champion’s helmet. An easily identifiable helmet, very similar to the first stint of the Asturias Bull at Renault between 2003 and 2006.
Fernando’s new helmet for 2021 is looking ????????

The only thing missing is the revelation of the pilots’ combinations!
