Alpine tests itself at the Circuit de Castellet
The team needs benchmarks for the upcoming campaign. Alpine has therefore set up in the south of France at the Paul-Ricard circuit to get acclimatized with the 2018 Renault single-seater in Alpine team's winter colors.

Alpine has not yet presented its 2021 single-seater. The veil will be lifted on the A512 on Tuesday, March 2nd, at the same time as Mercedes presents its W12.
Lundgaard and Ocon at the wheel of an RS18
As the regulations allow, Alpine used a car designed three years ago to fine-tune its entry for the race in Bahrain on March 28 for the first Grand Prix of the season.
Thus, Sunday was dedicated to the young Danish driver Christian Lundgaard, a member of the Alpine Academy. In order for him to gain maximum experience for his second season in F2, he was able to complete around a hundred laps of the long track, equivalent to approximately 590 km.
Alpine gives its protégés the means to achieve their ambitions, thus the leader of the young driver program has all the tools to fully bounce back in his championship after a very successful first year as a rookie.
Esteban Ocon took over on Monday. Even if the weather is less sunny than yesterday, it won’t dampen the Norman driver’s motivation to give his best.
Winter preparation is the cornerstone of a successful season. He knows the difficulty of the challenge that awaits him!

Fernando Alonso back in training, and connecting with the youth
Alpine gives us good news about the Spanish driver who was involved in a bicycle accident a few days ago. Already recovered from his injuries, he is back in training and Alpine is counting on him for the upcoming championship as well as for sharing his experience with young drivers. He should be back in top form for the official tests taking place in mid-March.
Laurent Rossi, CEO of Alpine F1, does not lack praise for the Spanish champion:
« Mental and physical training advice on how to get the most out of the car, that kind of thing… He is also heavily involved in supporting young talents through his own karting initiatives and has taken the time to get to know the current academy drivers. I’m sure he will be an inspiration for the team »
