For its grand return to Formula 1, Aston Martin is supported by the brand Cognizant as the title sponsor. But what is this company?

Almost a year ago, the Formula 1 world learned that the Racing Point name would be replaced by Aston Martin starting from the 2021 season. A logical name change, as Lawrence Stroll, the owner of Racing Point, had become the executive chairman of the prestigious British car brand at the beginning of 2020.
Following this announcement, there were questions about whether BWT would remain the title sponsor of the Silverstone team. The Austrian water treatment brand had allowed Formula 1 fans to see pink cars racing since 2017.
Finally, it is the Cognizant brand that will take on the role of title sponsor, so the team will be named Aston Martin Cognizant F1 Team. The American brand will provide Lawrence Stroll’s team with its digital services and infrastructure. While it is known to be a multi-year contract, no specific number has been mentioned by the two parties.
Unlike some title sponsors who have entered Formula 1 with little known about them, like Rokit or Rich Energy, Cognizant is a brand with a lot of history, having been founded in 1994. While its headquarters are in Teaneck, New Jersey, most of its employees, around 170,000 out of 250,000, are based in India. The company operates in the field of providing IT services and consulting. In 2019, its revenue was reportedly 16,783 million U.S. dollars.

This press release was an opportunity for Aston Martin to reveal that their single-seater will be unveiled in March.
