Official: Perez will be a Red Bull driver next season
It's official, Mexican driver Sergio Perez joins the Austrian team Red Bull, replacing Alex Albon and will support Max Verstappen next season.

The news had been in the works for a few months, and the rumor was only growing stronger. It is now official, the former Racing Point driver will be returning to a seat next year and not just any seat! The ins and outs of his contract with Red Bull are not yet known, but one thing is certain, the bull firm will have a formidable lineup next year.
Winner of his first Grand Prix in Sakhir two weeks ago, the Mexican was hoping to secure a place in F1 for next year. He had been ousted from Laurence Stroll’s team, which preferred to partner with the defector from Ferrari, Sebastian Vettel.
On his side, Alex Albon bears the brunt of a middling, almost missed year. He is expected to become a reserve driver and replace Swiss driver Sébastien Buemi.
