Verstappen: « very nice to finish this way »

Victory for Max Verstappen this Sunday in Abu Dhabi, in a relatively uneventful race.
The Dutchman led masterfully from pole position. Satisfied with his start, the Red Bull driver was able to manage his pace throughout the Grand Prix.
“We got off to a good start, I managed the car and the tires the way I wanted.”
The Red Bull driver made his only pit stop during Perez’s retirement and the presence of the virtual safety car. A strong leader, he finished with a 14-second lead over his pursuer, Bottas.
“When you lead the race, you manage the pace better and it made my life easier. I saw that behind [the Mercedes drivers] were losing time so I slipped through the traffic.”
Very happy to win this last Grand Prix, Max Verstappen is also eager to return home.

No, I didn’t do donuts, I’m going to enjoy the podium and savor going home to join my family.
