Ferrari will have to do without Mattia Binotto in Turkey
Scuderia Ferrari will have to do without the services of Mattia Binotto who has decided to stay at the Maranello factory this weekend. However, the director of the Scuderia assures that he will be fully involved in the race taking place at the Istanbul Park circuit.

We know that the season and its sequence of races push both the machinery and the people who work in Formula 1 to their limits. Additionally, with preparations for the next season, one thing is clear: Scuderia Ferrari must redouble its efforts if it hopes to get closer to the front of the pack.
The 2021 engine from the firm of Maranello has been in preparation for several weeks now, and the hopes of the Scuderia as well as the tifosis rest on this same engine. That’s why Mattia Binotto, an engineer by training, has decided to stay at the factory to spend more time with those who are working tirelessly to give Ferrari a worthy engine.
According to Frenchman Laurent Mekies, sporting director of Scuderia Ferrari; «At first, it will be strange not to see him in person during briefings or on the pit wall. But with all the current communication technologies, his voice and contributions will be very present and clear for everyone, in Istanbul as in Maranello.»
Mercedes director Toto Wolff attempted remote management during the Brazilian Grand Prix in 2019, an experience that was not repeated thereafter.
