Tuscany Grand Prix: Hamilton and the feeling of racing three races in one day!

Hamilton: « It was like doing three races in one day! »

Poleman but passed by his teammate Valtteri Bottas at the start, the British driver perfectly managed his race after regaining the lead at the restart of the 10th lap. He wins his 90th Grand Prix of his career this Sunday.

As often, Hamilton spoke of “an incredible race.”

« So much happened. It was very hard because I had a complicated start, but this track is phenomenal. Keeping Valtteri behind was not easy with all those restarts. I had to find the energy, and it was physically tough. It was like doing three races in one day! »

Regarding his tire management, Hamilton explains that he had to be careful with his tires with the numerous restarts and Bottas’s return on the straight at the end of the Grand Prix.

Next to the sporting result, Hamilton wore a t-shirt at the foot of his car and on the podium, to demand “justice for Breonna Taylor”.

Albon: I felt my body suffering!

Alexander Albon steps onto the podium for the first time in his young career! Very happy to be on the podium, he explains that he can finally breathe because it was a difficult race.

When asked how his race went with so many restarts, he comments: « I expected it to be worse, but with those 2 red flags it was still complicated, especially in the second sector. I could feel my body suffering. »

Finally, he talks about his battle with Daniel Ricciardo for 3rd place. We were a little beyond the limits but it stayed clean.
