Great Britain – Free Practice 3: Bottas-Hamilton duo two-tenths ahead of Verstappen
Valtteri Bottas edged out Lewis Hamilton in the final practice session held at the Silverstone circuit. Max Verstappen took third place, ahead of Lance Stroll's Racing Point.

Once again, Mercedes! Finnish driver Valtteri Bottas outpaced his teammate Lewis Hamilton in the third free practice session held this Saturday afternoon at Silverstone, during the British Grand Prix.
Beaten by Stroll’s Racing Point this Friday, Mercedes regained the upper hand in much cooler weather conditions, with a little over twenty degrees in the air at Silverstone, compared to 29 degrees on the track versus nearly 50 during FP2!
Valtteri Bottas thus dominated Lewis Hamilton by a tenth, with a best lap set at 1:25.873.
In difficulty with his front end at the start of the season, Max Verstappen gave himself a boost with a time 3 tenths off the Finn (2 tenths off the Brit) on the same soft compound.
Has Alex Albon reassured himself?
First in the timing in FP2, Lance Stroll is fourth this time, but just ahead of the two McLaren drivers, Sainz (5th) faster than Norris (7th), with Charles Leclerc’s Ferrari interspersed in sixth place. 8th at the end of FP3, Daniel Ricciardo drove with a new chassis installed by his mechanics this Friday evening.
Satisfying session for the other Racing Point driver, Nico Hülkenberg (9th), being just under a second behind.
The only Frenchman in the top 10, Pierre Gasly even finished ahead of Alex Albon! Crashing on Friday, the Red Bull driver completed only nine laps, much less than the average of the other drivers.
Stuck in the pit for 45 minutes, the Thai driver was the victim of an electrical problem detected by his mechanics during the reconstruction of his car after yesterday’s crash. His 13th place puts him just ahead of Vettel, who at least drove a bit more than yesterday, with 21 laps in the hour-long session.
