F1 2020 game unveils its first trailer!
While the 2020 Formula 1 season is not 100% certain to take place, its video game already has an official release date and will be accompanied by welcome new features.

It was on social media that Codemasters first communicated about the new game in its flagship series, F1 2020. A game that was not certain to be released due to the coronavirus crisis, which significantly impacted the world of sports in general. This new installment will therefore be released on July 10, which is slightly later than F1 2019, which was released on June 25.
The first major innovation of this new installment is the ability to create your own Formula 1 team that will compete alongside Mercedes or Red Bull. A very interesting new feature, but very little is known about it at the moment. It’s hard to tell if it will be a new facet of the Career mode or a completely new game mode.
The other big new feature, which isn’t really new since it was introduced in F1 2009 but removed in F1 2015, is splitscreen. Yes, with F1 2020, you’ll be able to have Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton compete on the same couch. This feature can resolve many disputes between Formula 1 fans, but more importantly, it marks the return of a game mode whose disappearance no one ever quite understood. You’ll finally be able to organize Xbox or PS4 nights with your friends while sharing an F1 race.
The game will offer a much more customizable experience with numerous settings to better suit all types of gameplay. It is highly likely that this includes better AI adjustments, which will no longer be simply adjustable with a percentage gauge defining their difficulty, but probably other gauges that will define their behavior on the track. The career mode will also be much more customizable, with the possibility to either participate in all 22 races of the official Formula 1 season, or to simply do 16 or 10 Grand Prix races.
Note that this game will be available in the “Michael Schumacher Deluxe Edition,” which will feature 4 legendary cars from the seven-time world champion: the 1991 Jordan 191, the 1994 Benetton B194, the 1995 Benetton B195, and finally the Ferrari F2000 from the 2000 season. This edition also offers early access to the game, three days before its official release, as well as numerous customization elements.
Paul Jeel, the director of the Formula 1 Game franchise is confident that this new installment will please fans: Our players will welcome even greater game depth with the introduction of our brand-new My Team feature, as well as three customizable season lengths that allow them to choose their favorite tracks. In the year where Lewis Hamilton will fight for his seventh world championship title, we are celebrating the greatest F1 driver of all time with our Michael Schumacher Deluxe Edition, which we know will be popular with our community.
This F1 2020 already makes our mouths water in terms of new content; now we have to see what Codemasters has developed in terms of gameplay. We should learn a bit more about this part of the game in the coming weeks.
