McLaren seeks to expand in Japan
In order to develop its partnerships in Japan, McLaren has teamed up with family wealth manager Buzz & Co.

In recent years, McLaren has become a manufacturer of sports cars, catering to the wealthiest among us. Being able to target these high-net-worth individuals is therefore an integral part of the manufacturer’s business strategy.
This is why she has just entered into an innovative agreement with Buzz & Co, which serves as a financial advisor for large wealthy families, to guide them in their investments. The target clientele of Buzz & Co thus consists of families whose personal wealth is between 10 and 500 million dollars. This involves the appointment of Daisuke Hasegawa, the CEO of Buzz & Co, as a special advisor and vice-president of McLaren Japan, responsible for partnerships within the archipelago.
In exchange, the family office, which has offices in London, Singapore, and Geneva, will benefit from a presence on the rear wing of the cars driven by Carlos Sainz and Lando Norris, allowing it to gain international recognition and expand its potential network. This is not the first time Buzz & Co has invested in motorsports, as it has been the title sponsor of Carlin in F3 since last season.
The ties with Japan do not stop at this partnership since McLaren also has historical links with Yamazaki Mazak, which provides them with machine tools used in the production of parts for their single-seaters. The association, which began in 1999, has just been extended.
