The Williams FW43 on track for a shakedown
A few hours after unveiling the FW43 online, Williams conducted a shakedown in Barcelona.
The start of the 2020 season is better than in 2019 for Williams, as just a few hours after unveiling its car, it is already on the track. As a reminder, Williams missed the first days of winter testing in 2019.
It was on this Monday morning that the FW43 made its track debut by performing a shakedown at the Barcelona circuit. It was George Russell who had the chance to drive this new single-seater for the first time to conduct verification tests before the start of the winter tests, which will begin this Wednesday, February 19.
Private tests are obviously highly regulated by the FIA since teams can only conduct a maximum of 100 km of running with demonstration tires that are not the ones used during the season.
