The AlphaTauri AT01 on track at Misano
AlphaTauri's new car, the AT01, had its debut on the Italian Misano circuit.
After a breathtaking presentation on Friday evening of the new AT01 at Red Bull’s facilities in Salzburg, the Faenza team headed this Saturday not far from its factory to the Misano circuit in Italy for a shakedown.
As part of the 2 days of testing authorized by the FIA, AlphaTauri was able to produce promotional videos during this shakedown. It was Pierre Gasly who had the chance to drive the new AT01 single-seater first.
These private tests are obviously controlled so that teams do not profit from the information collected on the track. The cars can only cover 100 km with demonstration tires.
The world of Formula 1 will gather on February 19 in Catalonia to take part in the first of six days of winter testing at the Barcelona circuit.
