Pablo Sarrazin, an 18-year-old French driver and son of Stéphane Sarrazin, dreams of becoming an endurance championship pilot

Currently in the Spanish F4, after a season in the French F4, Pablo Sarrazin continues his apprenticeship in motorsport with the goal of becoming an endurance driver. To achieve this, he can count on the support of his father.

A young Frenchman dreaming of the greatest endurance races. Pablo Sarrazin’s passion for motor racing comes from his father. Stéphane Sarrazin is a former F1 driver, as well as a competitor in Endurance races with Peugeot and Toyota, and in Rally. “I’ve been immersed in the world of motor racing since I was little. When I used to go see my father at the 24 Hours of Le Mans or abroad, it gave me a passion for this sport,” rejoices the driver. Pablo Sarrazin started karting in 2013, at the age of eight, but had to settle for only one or two races per year until he turned 11, when he started competing in numerous races in the French championship. “I was lucky to start karting thanks to my father. But I took it slowly because my father didn’t want to integrate me into his team,” explains the driver.

His journey in promotional racing

Pablo Sarrazin discovered single-seater racing last year in the French F4 championship, thanks to the support of the KCMG group, known for their presence in GT3 with Porsche during the 24 Hours of Spa, the Nürburgring, and Daytona. Given how much motorsport costs and all the resources that need to be put in place to succeed, I would never have been able to be here without their help, the Frenchman thanks them. It was his first and only season where the driver felt comfortable in this championship. I have improved throughout the season. In the end, at Le Castellet, I proved that we had the speed to compete for a top 4 position, Pablo Sarrazin says positively.

This year, he is competing in the Spanish F4 Championship with the Van Amersfoort Racing (VAR) team, still with the support of KCMG. Despite good results, the Frenchman’s season has not been consistently up to his expectations, as he has not yet achieved his goal of finishing in the top 5 for the season. This season, I have learned to work on my mental and physical preparation. I communicated more with the engineers about my feelings in the car and how to improve my driving, both in races and qualifying, for example by better exploiting new tires,” explains the French driver.

The endurance championship as a dream

Pablo Sarrazin is pursuing his career with a dream in mind: to become a professional endurance racing driver in three iconic races. “The 24 Hours of Le Mans, Daytona, and the Nürburgring are my biggest dreams,” marvels Pablo Sarrazin. While he currently doesn’t have a preferred team, his heart leans towards Toyota and Ferrari. “Toyota has been in WEC for 10 years and remains highly competitive, and Ferrari is an iconic brand. Besides, they won the 24 Hours of Le Mans upon their return,” dreams the young driver. To achieve his goal, Pablo Sarrazin continues to rely on the support of KCMG and his father.
