F1. The four-time French Formula 1 world champion Alain Prost will be honored in a 6-episode documentary series on Canal +. The first episode will be broadcast on December 8th.
Holder of the Formula 1 rights since 2013, Canal + took advantage of its sports season presentation evening this Wednesday evening to officially announce the launch of its documentary series about Alain Prost. This series, which will consist of 6 episodes of 26 minutes each, will be broadcast on December 8 with the first episode of the series. Another broadcast is scheduled for December 15.

The key moments of the career of the four-time Formula 1 world champion (1985, 1986, 1989, and 1993) will be recounted, in particular his rivalry with Ayrton Senna. When the preparation of this docu-series was announced in January 2013, Christine Cauquelin, director of documentaries at the encrypted channel, outlined its content: "A national hero deserves a series. While he was highly sought after by all platforms, Alain Prost decided to make this film with us. It will be an opportunity for him to talk about his beginnings but also his story with his brother, the wild years, the titles, and above all the Prost-Senna duel told by Alain."
Closing launch of the championship
While a biopic in the cinema had been awaited since the end of his career in 1993, this documentary will finally take the form of a series. Prost, who raced for Renault (1981-1983), McLaren (1980 and then 1984-1989), Ferrari (1990-1991) and Williams (1993) will revisit in it his rivalry with Senna, safety in F1, the tragedies, the fear, the obsession with winning... as announced by Canal +.
A commentator and occasional consultant for the channel since 2013, this series will be the first of its kind about the "Professor," who spent 13 years in Formula 1. It will therefore be launched following the last Grand Prix of this season in Abu Dhabi, which could see Max Verstappen, now at 69 years old, equal the Frenchman with 4 world championship titles.
