Marcus Ericsson to Sauber F1 in 2015?
Marcus Ericsson could sign with Sauber for the next season according to sources close to the Swiss team.

After a first season with Caterham F1, Marcus Ericsson could continue his F1 journey at the wheel of a Sauber for the 2015 season.
The information, relayed by British journalist Adam Cooper on his blog, reportedly comes from « sources close to the Swiss team ».
The Swede, whose agent indicated earlier in the week that he was in talks with three teams for next season, would thus have beaten Giedo van der Garde and Esteban Gutierrez for the seat alongside Adrian Sutil », who seems to be Sauber’s first choice.
Ericsson, after a relatively quiet start to the season, was heavily criticized during the Belgian Grand Prix when André Lotterer, without any track experience in the Caterham CT05, outpaced him during practice and qualifying. Subsequently, from Singapore onwards, the driver with number 9 seemed more at ease, regularly beating his teammate Kamui Kobayashi and the Marussias.
The native of Kumla also has significant financial support from Swedish companies. It seems that an advance made to Sauber for the 2015 season could allow the team to pass more smoothly through the off-season.
Ericsson, in the Austin paddock thanks to his role as a consultant for Scandinavian television, reminded A. Cooper that his staff was doing everything to keep him in the premier discipline: « I am not involved in these things but I know that my management is working 100% to keep me in F1. We have completed the first year now and I have started to show a good level, and obviously I want to stay and continue that. There are not many seats available and obviously Sauber is an option, and it is one of the teams we are talking to. »
Earlier in the day, however, Giedo van der Garde told the BBC that his goal was to race for Sauber in 2015 and that it seemed to be « on track ».
