The best tweets from the Las Vegas Grand Prix
Highly anticipated event on the calendar, the Las Vegas Grand Prix did not fail to make headlines, whether it was for the good, with a fiercely contested race, or for the bad, with its early-day problems. This gave internet users plenty to talk about, and they did not hesitate to react on social media.

The discovery of this layout was complete for the entire F1 paddock. Bathed in light in the midst of the city of excess, the circuit was notably identified by its huge sphere that illuminated in different ways throughout the sessions.

This Grand Prix saw a new victory from Max Verstappen this season. The now three-time world champion now has 53 wins, the same as his predecessor Sebastian Vettel. At 25 years old, the Dutchman is the third most victorious driver in the history of the sport. Quite dizzying!

Because a driver is nothing without their machine, Red Bull also achieves a new record, that of the number of wins achieved in a single season. At the dawn of the final race, the Austrian team has 20 victories, surpassing the 19 of Mercedes in 2016.

It is high time for this statistic to stop haunting Charles Leclerc! Author of another pole position this season, the Monegasque driver delivered an almost perfect performance but once again has to settle for second place behind the Verstappen juggernaut. This situation has inspired some of the motorsport enthusiasts!

On the French side, the race was quite interesting, especially with the impressive comeback by Esteban Ocon. The Norman driver had made his mark a little earlier in the weekend by having a quarrel with his fellow driver, Verstappen, during the last lap in Q1, which resulted in a 16th place in qualifying for him. However, he managed to make up for it the next day with some great battles on the track.

Without a doubt, the image of the weekend: the sewer grate that came off and ripped through the bottom of Carlos Sainz’s Ferrari, cancelling the rest of the FP1 session, delaying FP2, and forcing the evacuation of the spectators on site. Everyone will have their own opinion on the matter!
Vegas GP not off to a good start. FP1 CANCELLED after a drain cover came loose on the track and smashed the floor of Sainz’s Ferrari (broken floor, maybe broken suspension, and a hard shock for Carlos Sainz’s back).
