In June 2022, Red Bull’s specialized research team revealed its project to launch its own hypercar.

The car, worth 5 million pounds, or 5.4 million euros, was designed by Adrian Newey. It will feature a two-seater carbon fiber monocoque chassis with a V10 engine and a carbon fiber gearbox. The car was entirely produced in-house by Red Bull and only 50 models will be manufactured.

The RB17 will be presented on Friday, July 12, in the paddock of the Goodwood circuit and will be on display throughout the event. The hypercar will follow in the footsteps of the F1 cars produced by the team and it will also be Newey’s final car for Red Bull, having announced its departure from the team in early 2025.

We are delighted to present the RB17 to the public for the first time and we could not imagine a better global stage than the Goodwood Festival of Speed, said Red Bull boss Christian Horner.

« The RB17 exudes rarity and engineering excellence. We have channelled all our knowledge of racing to create the ultimate performance car and we are excited for the public to see the result. I am also thrilled to present such a remarkable selection of cars and drivers at the festival’s icon and I am looking forward to celebrating our 20th season in front of such passionate motorsport fans.

Alongside Horner and Newey, at the Goodwood launch, will be the 13-time Grand Prix winner and former Red Bull driver, David Coulthard, as well as former F1 driver for Minardi, Patrick Friesacher. Red Bull will also showcase a series of F1 cars from its history as part of its 20th-anniversary celebrations, with several of them taking part in the hill climb event.

« I am delighted that Oracle Red Bull Racing is joining us at the Festival of Speed this summer to celebrate their 20th anniversary,” said the founder of the Festival of Speed, the Duke of Richmond. « In such a poignant year for the Formula 1 team, I am honored that they have chosen the Festival of Speed as the venue to unveil the highly anticipated RB17 for its world public debut, and I know that our fans will be extremely excited to see the team bring a multitude of their championship-winning cars and drivers to the event this year.
